BACDS December 2015 Electronic MailingBACDS sponsors English and American traditional dances in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is fun, relatively easy, community-oriented dancing with live music. All dances are taught, no partner is necessary, and first-timers are welcome unless otherwise noted.

No Snow BallSunday, December 6, 2015, Oakland Don't miss the 29th annual No Snow Ball! For the first time ever, we'll have contras and waltzes going on at the same time in two ballrooms! Happening on Sunday from 6-10 this year, it will be at Lake Merrit Dance Center, where the very first No Snow was held 28 years ago! Palo Alto Contra New Year's EveThursday, December 31, 2015, Palo Alto Finish out 2015 with good cheer and good dancing at the Palo Alto Contra. Morris Winter Traditions Day of DanceSaturday, January 23, 2016, Sunnyvale and Mountain View Bay Area and Southern California Various morris teams join to present border morris, molly, sword dancing and perhaps a mummers' play near Murphy Street in downtown Sunnyvale, and at the CPA and Caltrain station in Mountain View.
