This track was recorded live to 2-track on Garage Band, very early on, and was deemed not usable. But then I tweaked it in Cubase and got rid of many of the problems, although its recording quality is still below that of the later Cubase tracks. But here it is, warts and all.

A really cool jig by stellar fiddler David Knight.

The tune for Cream Pot is almost identical the Miss Grace Hay's Delight, a well-known Scottish jig from the Gow collection. Because Patti liked Grace Hay's better and, even more so, because she would have been driven a bit crazy trying to play the variant that is the Cream Pot, we recorded Grace instead. Please forgive the presumption. *Note that 2x thru the tune = 1x thru the dance.

On February 27th, 2020, Jonathan wrote asking me to write a dance to his tune Lynn’s Waltz, so that he could surprise Lynn with it at Baltimore’s April 20th dance (the night before the Jensens’ 30th anniversary). I completed a duple minor draft of the dance on March 12th, but by then everyone had already begun to shelter in place, and it was clear Jonathan and Lynn would not be holding their April 20th celebration with their Baltimore friends. So on Sunday April 19th the Odd Sundays English online dance hosted the world premiere of Jonathan and Lynn’s Waltz, a dance for one or two persons. --Sharon Green

This tune was commissioned as an auction item for BACDS Fall Frolick Weekend, October, 2015. It was written during the January rainstorms, looking out my office window to the garden, where our fountain, a maiden sitting above a couple of pools, named Paulina by my husband, Bruce, was the view that led me on.

Dance by Kalia Kliban, to the tune Ye Banks and Braes of Bonnie Doon

The commission of this tune, with an accompanying dance devised by Alan Winston to follow, was offered as an auction item at BACDS's 2014 Hey Days camp, and went to high bidders Tom Colton and Ellen Simms. They requested a dance and tune dedicated to their friend Rosemary Murphree, a lovely person and long-time dancer and contributor to BACDS, in honor of her retirement from a job that kept her from spending all her time dancing, and as a special birthday gift as well. Here's looking forward to many more years of dancing with Rosemary!

This tune is used for both Alan Winston's dance Rosemary's Turn and the dance Sage Time, devised by a group of several, including the composer of the tune.

The band worked with the composer, Dave Wiesler, to make sure the tempo matched his expectations!

Originally recorded at a perhaps-a-bit-TOO-stately tempo, we had a request to make it more sprightly, so here you go!

The music alternates between 9/8 time and 6/8 time with a 5-bar A section and an 11-bar B section. Juggling Chainsaws indeed!

The dance La Tambourine was written by Colin Hume in 2018 to an anonymous 18th century tune. Patti plays the tambourine, too!

Dance by Fried de Metz Herman to a gorgeous waltz tune by Terry Willetts. We recorded this in 2020 on the last day of Hannukah, a week before Christmas, when so much was pulling at our hearts. The resulting pathos may have informed this rendition. In any case, Sharon's reaction was, "I wish Fried could have heard this". ❤️
