Registered Camper's Guide to the
Facilities at Mendocino Woodlands

Redwoods, fresh air and wonderful food!

Camp opens for check-in of registered campers outside the Dining Hall on Saturday, July 7, at 4 p.m.

Take a look at our travel information and check the Mendocino Woodlands website for additional information and their driving directions.

Printed copies of the latest detailed schedule and the the map of Camp 1 will be available when you check in.

Emergency information and some answers to frequently asked questions about pets, cell phone service, telephones, electricity and temperatures are in our sheet titled At the Mendocino Woodlands.

While at camp, we ask that you leave your car parked and walk along the roads or foot paths from your cabin or camp site to the Dining and Recreation Halls, the toilets and showers, the Nature Center, and the Meadow. There is some wonderful hiking in the area, so bring hiking shoes and water bottle. See our recommendations for what to bring to camp.

We ask that you honor our fragrance-free policy and use only fragrance-free soaps, lotions, hair products, deodorant, powder, sun block, etc. and insect repellants without DEET or citronella while at camp. Some campers have serious allergies, and the cumulative effect of everybody's scented stuff in the dance hall can make them very ill. Thanks for your cooperation in making camp comfortable for everyone. See our fragrance-free policy for details on what to bring and what to leave home.

You'll received three healthy and tasty all-you-can-eat meals a day. If you have not yet specified your dietary restrictions, please contact us immediately. Fruit for snacking will be available throughout the day in the Dining Hall. If you want to bring your own snacks, there will be a small amount of shelf space provided in the back of the dining hall. Bring a mouse-proof container or cooler if you plan to keep food in your cabin.

You will need to be out of your cabins with the floor swept by 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 14.

You'll find additional information about camp and the Mendocino Woodlands on our About Camp and Registered Camper Info pages and on the Mendocino Woodlands web site.
