BACDS June 2013 Electronic Mailing

BACDS sponsors English and American traditional dances in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is fun, relatively easy, community-oriented dancing with live music. All dances are taught, no partner is necessary, and first-timers are welcome unless otherwise noted.

Berkeley Morris Summer Workshops

Tuesdays, August 20 - September 17 , 2013 (except September 3rd), Berkeley

Every year Berkeley Morris hosts a series of FREE workshops in morris and related dance traditions. No experience is needed, and all are welcome! Workshops are taught by members of Berkeley Morris, or friends of ours from the local (or not so local) dance community. Come to one, or attend all four. Join us afterwards at the Jupiter Pub at 2181 Shattuck Ave. in downtown Berkeley.

Workshops for 2013 will be held Tuesdays beginning at 7:30PM on August 20, August 27 August, September 10, and  September 17, at Christ Church Berkeley, CA (2138 Cedar St, Berkeley, CA 94709).

BACDS Fall Ball

Save the date for a special day and night of dancing at the 19th annual BACDS Fall Ball! This year, we are excited to have Annie Laskey from Southern California as our programmer and caller. Music features Bangers and Mash, one of the leading and original English Country Dance bands of the Bay Area, in an elegant and lively musical interpretation of the dances.
