Call for volunteers: Volunteers make all this possible. Join the crew! The Playford Ball is truly a community dance. What makes it work is the donated time, energy, and efforts of members of the dance community who help create the ball each year. You, too, can be part of the magic of the Playford Ball. We welcome volunteers and have many different kinds of tasks with which can help. Some tasks occur before the Ball; others the day of, during, or after the Ball. Here are just a a few of the them.
Why not contact our volunteer coordinator to see what might be right for you? You'll be rewarded with a thank-you gift and a special appreciation Tea held in your honor. But most of all, you'll be given something back to the dance community. Sudden Hospitality Bay Area folks: Want a way to make new friends and add to your Playford experience? Just offer to provide Hospitality to one of our out-of-town guests. This can consist of providing rides to or from the airport or train station, providing guest lodging, or just helping folks find their way around town. If you didn't already mark this on your registration form (an oversight, no doubt), you can still contact our hospitality coordinator. Playford Ball 2000! We enter a new millennium (or not) with our 20th Anniversary dance. This is a very exciting time to be a member of the few, the proud, the overworked,.... the Playford Ball Committee (insert fanfare here)! The Committee oversees and manages the myriad tasks and to-do's for the ball. We meet approximately monthly and consume mass quantities of champagne and sample Playford food (someone has to taste this stuff first!) Committee positions include:
If you're interested in being on the committee or just finding out what it's all about, please contact the Playford Committee Chair, Ric Goldman. |
