Bay Area Country Dance Society December 2008 Mailing
BACDS sponsors English and American traditional dances in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is fun, relatively easy, community-oriented dancing with live music. All dances are taught, no partner is necessary, and first-timers are welcome unless otherwise noted.

Two Great Contra Weekends
Double your fun with two great Bay Area contra weekends in 2009!
Spring Dance Weekend
The BACDS Spring Dance Weekend for 2009 has a (new) little something for everyone! This year we'll have all-American and all-English dance tracks, with separate Contra and English evening dances. And for the first time ever, swing dance instruction!
Balance the Bay 2009
Save the date (August 14-16) for the second Balance the Bay dance weekend, this time in the cool of summer in San Francisco.
Playford Ball
The 2009 Playford Ball "Imaginary Voyages" features dance mistress Lise Dyckman with music by Shira Kammen, Jim Oakden, Chuck Ward, and Maureen Brennan. Workshops, rehearsals, and after-dance parties accompany the Ball itself.
BACDS Membership Form
Memberships are now good for 12 months from the date you join. To help us distribute membership renewals evenly over the year, you can sign up for a short-term membership this year only at a special rate of $2 per month.
