PlayFood: Cream Cheese and Strawberry
Sandwiches
"Young Windows"
(From Boston Tea Parties)
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp sugar
8 oz cream cheese, softened
milk
1 loaf thin-sliced white bread
fresh strawberries
Add vanilla and sugar to softened cream cheese, slowly add enough milk
until you get a spreadable consistency. Remove crusts and spread cream
cheese on each slice of bread. Cut into quarters. Freeze. Shortly before
time to serve, remove from freezer and place sliced strawberries on top.
Peaches can be substituted.
Alisa's notes: Hmm-I don't think we froze these after spreading the
cream cheese. What I do remember is they were a "pane" to make!
