Welcome:

• Please escort your partner off the central floor after each dance, and wait till the next dance is announced to form sets. This ensures everyone equal access to all the "best" spots in the hall.

 

• Please minimize booking your dances ahead. While you will of course wish to plan some dances with special friends, keep your program open for chance encounters, out-of-town visitors, and folks who may have sat out the previous dance.
   

• Please, ladies, book several dances with your favorite female friends. This will greatly decrease the likelihood of people spending the entire evening dancing on the "wrong" side. Same-sex couples have the court’s permission to dash to the top of the center set as soon as the dance is announced.
   

• Please, no jousting on the dance floor.

Here are a few quick reminders to help you and others enjoy the event:

• The Playford Ball is a "fragrance-free" event.  Please do not wear perfumes, colognes, scented shampoos or deodorants, or engage in any partaking of tobacco products (as they may cause unpleasant (or worse!) reactions in some of our dancers.
   

• When the Ball is over, please collect your things and join us for the Midnight Merriment after party.  If you dawdle too long, you will find yourself recruited for the cleanup crew.
   

• The  after party and Daylight Revelry (next morning Sunday Brunch) are potluck events.  Please bring your favorite food to share.  Friends and family are welcome at the brunch.
