2001 Playford Ball |
[ Home ]
Events Schedule:
The Playford Ball is less an event and more of a season. As such, there are many opportunities to learn and enjoy dances for the Ball. Starting in January, our English Country regular dance series include Ball dances in a portion of their programs. In addition, there are two workshops specifically to teach Ball dances, one in February and the other in March. Finally, there is a Review dance the night before the Ball itself. During the weekend of The Playford Ball are many other activities. Besides the Review dance on Friday, there is the hall preparation on Saturday day, the Ball itself that night, an after-party in the wee hours, and a celebratory brunch the next day. Some folk, especially out-of-towners, use the Ball as an excuse to visit, vacation, and catch up with old and new friends.
