The San Francisco contra at (you guessed it) SF features your genial series host Charlie Fenton with music by the dynamic duo of Ray Bierl and Craig Johnson.
Family Week kicks off this afternoon and runs through Saturday the 10th near Kings' Canyon Park in the Sierra Foothills above Fresno. It's still a first Wednesday, so you can contra in Berkeley at GNC. Elizabeth Douglas is your caller, and there's an Open Band led by Ingrid Noyes, Michael Harmon, Danny Carnahan.

The Berkeley Friday contra at FIN with an all-star cast from around the US: caller Cis Hinkle (Atlanta GA), and music by the wonderful trio of Tim Cape (Atlanta GA), Laura Light (Charlottesville VA), Daniel Steinberg (local, but renowned throughout
the land!).
Saturday, July 10
The Palo Alto contra (at PA) has local fave Kirston Koths calling to an all star band of ex- and current Northwesterners George Penk, Clyde Curley (both from Portland OR), Paul Kotapish (one of the few musicians who moved here from Seattle!).
The SF English dance at BET in Noe Valley, with caller David Newitt and Stan and Susan Kramer and friends. Take public transit if you can (the 48, 24 and J Church all run a few blocks away), the dance starts at 7:30.
Sunday, July 11
& It's a second Sunday, so it's the square/contra in El Cerrito at ECV, starting at 7pm. Your series host Jim Saxe calls, with music by Lee Anne Welch, John Light & Friend.
