Hey Days Site and Food
Location
Sonoma State University (SSU) is in the wine country of northern California, one hour north of San Francisco and 45 minutes from the Pacific Ocean. Adjacent to Rohnert Park and Cotati, SSU is ranked as one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. The campus has a pond with a path around it as well as several other water features, parkland, many trees and gardens (including a butterfly garden and a native plant area). There is an outdoor swimming pool with a hot tub in our housing complex, as well as an indoor lap pool and hot tub in the student rec center.

The small campus offers spacious dance rooms with wood floors and numerous workshop spaces.
Housing
Campus housing is equitable and comfortable. We will stay in the Tuscany Village -- http://housing.sonoma.edu/villages/tuscany
Housing is in suites with four bedrooms of doubles and singles for a total of six people per suite. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Each suite includes a full kitchen, living room, dining area, and patio/balcony. Some suites are ADA compliant.
There is a beautiful pool and hot tub in the complex.
Linens, towels and blankets are provided. There is a 24 hour service desk to phone if anything is amiss. There is a laundry room in the complex. While the rooms aren’t air conditioned, it cools off in the evening so room temperatures will be comfortable.
The villages have their own community building, which will be our exclusive and secure program space, containing the bookstore, silent and noisy auction, and a place to gather with a piano.
Food
The dining area (The Kitchen) is a large space with different stations serving a variety of food. There are always vegan and vegetarian options, and SSU can provide any type of special diet we might need. Some of the food is sourced locally.
There are multiple serving stations, including a comprehensive salad bar, soup, and sandwich bar, as well as multiple stations providing entrees and sides. Choices are displayed on a screen inside the dining area, and we may be provided printed menus as well.
There are water filling stations around campus. Outside of the regular dining area, there are several cafes as well as other places to buy snacks.
