Hey Days Program Overview
Our program director, Mary Devlin, has put together a tremendous line-up of internationally recognized dance leaders and musicians. Expect challenging and fun English country dance classes, evening dances with fabulous music and plenty of space to move, stimulating music workshops, and an exciting longsword class.
Besides all the great English country and display dance, we have several special treats in store for you this summer. You can learn to play the ukulele! The ukulele is a very accessible instrument, and we’ll have lots of them available. You can explore song writing. You can attain new skills as a caller and practice them at the daily open mic session. Back by popular demand, you can learn how to waltz or refine your partner dancing.
You will have many chances for playing music together including the open mic class and the camper band for the evening dance on Campers' Night. We’ll also have several opportunities to gather together and share songs and rounds.
We are also delighted to offer an English Dance Musicians’ Course co-sponsored by the Country Dance and Song Society (partially funded by the CDSS Chuck Ward Fund for Musicians' Training) and led by Anita Anderson. For full details click here.
