He also can be heard playing English Country Dance music with Tricky Brits, the music of Greece and the Balkans with Pangeo, swing classics with Ruby Slippers, and just about every other genre of music with the Gina Sala Ensemble. |
Ruthie Dornfeld (WA)
Ruthie is known as a wildly eclectic and innovative fiddler. Over the past 15 years, she has become a much sought-after performer at dances, concerts, and recording sessions. She has travelled extensively in Scandinavia, the British Isles, and the Soviet Union. |

Charlie Hancock (CA)
Charlie has played piano and accordion for Bay Area Contra, English, and Scottish dances and camps for the past 10 years and has toured to such far-flung places such as Pinewoods Camp in Massachusetts and in Juneau, Alaska. Every contra dancer in the Bay Area has been transported by Charlies driving rhythms and rollicking improvisations. |
Chris has been igniting contra dancers in the Bay Area with his powerful fiddling for many years. His diverse styles include Balkan, Irish, and Appalachian. He is a prolific composer, inventive improviser, and avid swing and contra dancer. |

Jeremiah is a founding member of Nightingale, the Clayfoot Strutters, and Big Table, three pivotal and popular bands with traditional roots. He is well versed in Irish, Quebecois, and New England styles of music, as well as Cajun, Zydeco, Swing, and Blues. His musical contributions can be heard on over 35 albums, including several critically acclaimed solo recordings. |
