[changed 4/22] A very special evening for the San Francisco contra at SF--local faves Québecquasi (Kevin Carr, John Hamstra, Caroline Cirimele, Barbara Mendelsohn, Laurie Rivin, Daniel Steinberg) are joined by three stellar musicians from Québec--Yvon Mimeault and Guy and Laura Bouchard. Charlie Fenton calls.
Wednesday, May 6
The first Wednesday contra at GNC. Series host Erik Hoffman calls the dances, an Open Band led by Bruce Reid, Ray Bierl, and Stefan Curl serve up the tunes.
In San José, at SJS, the English dance holds forth with Jody McGeen and Alisa Dodson leading dances, and music by Greenwich Mean Time (Kay Thorne, Vaughn Wolff and Stanley Kramer).
Friday, May 8
A fine evening of contradance in Berkeley at FIN. Kirston Koths calls, with music by those The Contrabandits (Kathrine Gardner, Chris Knepper, Charlie Hancock, and Kit Nelson)

The 2nd Saturday English dance in San Francisco at BET starts at 7:30pm and features Alisa Dodson calling, with luscious music by Allen Dodson, Kathrine Gardner, and Charlie Hancock.

Sunday, May 10
& It's a second Sunday, so the East Bay Square and Contra will take place at ECV in El Cerrito at 7pm. Jim Saxe will be teaching and calling, with music by WB Reid and Kathrine Gardner.
Wednesday, May 13
The Berkeley English dance at GNC has David Newitt teaching and Danny Carnahan, Dick Bagwell and Craig Johnson playing for your dancing pleasure.
Friday, May 15
Palo Alto English dance at MT: Bob Fraley calls with tunes by the Somesuch Country Dance Players (Susan and Stan Kramer, Kay Thorne).

The fourth Friday SF contra at SF. It features Fred Park calling, and Mark Mueller, Kathrine Gardner, Leon Bumanglag musicking.
Saturday, May 23
The Fairfax contra at FCC with caller Stuart Moody and music by dotGals (Susan Sullivan, Karen Warrick, Kathy Hirsh, and Adam Cavan).
The fourth Saturday experienced English dance at GNC. Ace caller Alan Winston (by day, mild mannered and stalwart BACDS Secretary to the Board) cshares the bill with musicians Mark Carroll, and Stan & Susan Kramer.
Another chance to dance to Fred Park ... this time in PA with music by Mark Mueller, Leon Bumanglag and Chris Jong.
Sunday, May 24
Some great goings-on in El Cerrito at ECV. First, a family dance and story session with Fred Park, Mark Mueller and Leon Bumanglag. Fred is a master storyteller, and the band will be great! From 3:30 to 5:30, followed by a potluck dinner.
& Then, at 7pm, an East Bay Square/Contra at ECV featuring Fred Park and and Open Band led by Mark Mueller and Leon Bumanglag.
