Update (9/16): New Info and Reminders for Attendees

• Bring your proof of vaccination. We will be looking for that to let you into the event. No proof, no entry.
• All things mask related – Bring and wear your mask. The San Mateo County guidance requires masks indoors, and recommends the use of masks in crowded outdoor settings. The committee is also recommending that all attendees wear masks when not actively eating or drinking.
• Bring cash to pay for your food and drink. This will make it much easier to pay the bill at the end of the event. The bills will be split up or not, at the servers discretion. The restaurant will be including a 20% gratuity. A rough plan is to include enough money for your food, drink and an additional 30% to cover tip and tax.
• Parking – there is street parking on Old County Road and Harbor Blvd. Consider carpooling.
• Volunteer videographer – we are investigating the possibility of video-ing the event. That way folks that can not attend would be able to experience it. If you would like to volunteer to video the event, please email Gerry at gmandel24@gmail.com.
• Donations – we are paying to have exclusive use of the outside patio from noon to 4 PM. If you would like to make a donation, please make your check out to Sue Meighan. If we recoup more than the rental cost, the extra money will be donated to BACDS.

If you want to attend and haven't already responded to an emailed Evite, please respond to this evite so we can plan appropriately.

COVID Information

We really want to be together to celebrate Sherry, but with the rapid spread of the Delta variant, we don't want to contribute to the spread of COVID. We are therefore:

• reserving the entire patio for our exclusive use between noon and 4.
• requiring proof of your completed COVID-19 vaccinations at the patio door (final injection no later than 9/11). Sorry, but if you don't have appropriate proof, you will not be let in to the patio.
• requiring that you bring your mask. San Mateo County has reinstated a mask ordinance for indoors - so you will need a mask to walk through the restaurant to get to the patio (or the restrooms). Once on the patio, we strongly recommend that you continue to wear your mask when you are not actively eating or drinking. We'll have a few extra masks on hand if you forget yours.

Since the COVID situation is very fluid, we recommend that you check the web (including this site) for current conditions, particularly as the event draws closer.

Food and Drink

• Food and drink will be available for purchase throughout the event. Please bring cash as individual tabs may not be permitted.
• No outside food or drink is permitted.

Preliminary Schedule

12:00 - 2:15	Present your proof of vaccination, get a name tag, sign the guestbook, and let us know if you want to speak during the open-mic portion.
12:00 - whenever	Order (and pay for) food and/or drink, if desired. Keep in mind we lose our exclusive use of the patio at 4 pm.
1:00 - 2:00	Meet and greet. Share anecdotes, memories, and thoughts about Sherry. Maybe bring a photo or memento to highlight your story.
2:00 - 3:45 (at the latest)	Presentations and Open mic - share your memories with the whole group, followed by closing comments.
