The fine print:
Our work scholarships require one to two hours a day of camp work, as well as early arrival AND late departure from camp. Please note that your work may require you to miss a class. You may also need to be available for one or two short meetings during the week. Most scholarships involve daily cleaning of bathrooms (using unscented, natural cleaning products) and helping out at a social event. Work scholarship recipients are exempt from the regular camper chores (usually 20-30 minutes per day) performed by other campers.
Please arrive at camp by 1 pm on Saturday, July 10th in order to be settled in and ready to work on camp set up by 2 pm. Assemble promptly at 2 pm in front of the camp house (near the registration table) to get your camp set-up assignments. Campers will begin arriving by 4 pm and there’s a lot to do to get camp ready for them.
Plan on staying in camp after breakfast on Saturday, July 17th, to help clean up camp and load all of our gear into the truck. We should be finished around noon, and will need to vacate the camp shortly thereafter.
I’m glad we are able to help you attend English Week this year, and hope your scholarship camp experience will be a good one. Please contact me if you have questions or concerns about your scholarship work. If you need to cancel for any reason, please let me know as soon as possible. I look forward to seeing you at camp!
Sincerely,
Christine Gile
